Title: the Titantic

Setting: "imagine you were on the Titantic when it just hit the iceberg. Write about some of the sights and sounds you experienced before you were saved by the Capathia."

The next 30 minutes passed by in a flash, people were starting to panic and demanding to leave the ship, it was a complete mess. Charles Lightoller, the second officer aboard Titanic, observed the rule "women and children first" strictly. This caused many male passengers to be unhappy as they demand to be saved. It was so crowded and noisy we had to shout into each other's ears just so we could hear what we were saying. There was one passenger, who dressed up very uniquely and raised suspicion. He was indeed a man. As more and lifeboats departed, much more tears were shed. Many husband and elderly had given their lives to exchange for the safety of their wives and the younger people. The ship was now tilting towards the right which caused a huge unease in me.

I remember, boarding the last lifeboat, reluctant to let go of my husband’s hands as he said “don’t worry about me, just remember I love the most.” That was the last sentence I heard from him after he kissed my forehead. My body was rescued, but not my mind and soul.
